Couponing is a lifestyle, however it doesn't have to take over your life. Yes some, "Extreme Coupners", receive a lot for free or cheap, but what I always tell everyone to aim for is a 50% savings. If you have saved 1/2 of what you normally spend! If you spend $600 a month on groceries, imagine having an extra $300 in your pocket to go into savings or to maybe pay off debt!
I most definitely don't consider myself "extreme" and I do save about 50-70%+ on groceries, toiletries, hygiene, etc. We eat well at my house and we do it for very little.
Couponing does NOT have to be a full time job, you can spend as little on it as you'd like or as much on it as you'd like! In my free time, I coupon. It's not just a lifestyle for me, it's a hobby, and a fun one at that!
Now that you know that you do not have to spend 40+hours a week just to save, head on over to the Where to Start? section :)
